Okay..this seems really random..but i was in the car the other day and this came on the radio..[keep in mind i’m not very up to date with music and radio stations LOL!!]
Some of it reminded me of Sherlock feels and things SO BAD.
[Alright..most songs do these days..but REALLY…some parts of it are just…yeah..so i thought i’d share]
Diamonds and Rust - Joan Baez [With Lyrics]
”..And here I sit,
hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I’d known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall..”
“Nice girls not one with a defect,
cellophane shrink-wrapped, so correct.
Red dogs under illegal legs.
She looks so good that he gets down and begs.
[Chorus:]
She is watching the detectives.
“ooh, he’s so cute!”
She is watching the detectives
when they shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.
They beat him up until the teardrops start,
but he can’t be wounded ‘cause he’s got no heart.
Long shot of that jumping sign,
Visible shivers running down my spine.
Cut the baby taking off her clothes.
Close-up of the sign that says,”We never close”
You snatch a tune, you a match a cigarette,
She pulls the eyes out with a face like a magnet.
I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
She’s filing her nails while they’re dragging the lake.
[Chorus]
You think you’re alone until you realize you’re in it.
Now fear is here to stay. Love is here for a visit.
They call it instant justice when it’s past the legal limit.
Someone’s scratching at the window. I wonder who is it?
The detectives come to check if you belong to the parents
who are ready to hear the worst about their daughter’s disappearance.
Though it nearly took a miracle to get you to stay,
it only took my little fingers to blow you away.
Just like watching the detectives.
Don’t get cute!”
It’s just like watching the detectives.
I get so angry when the teardrops start,
but he can’t be wounded ‘cause he’s got no heart.
Watching the detectives.
It’s just like watching the detectives.”
Elvis Costello - Watching The Detectives
“i’ll take a bruise i know you’re worth it, when you hit me hit me hard…”
The Lonely - Christina Perri
but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need
(via miss-da1sy)
”..how come the damage is done
the feeling is gone and we cant escape it
right now i shout it out loud
the chain is so strong but i have to break it
i gotta run, i’m moving on
but i’m always grateful to you
i owe it all to you..”
”..with a sigh you turn away
with a deepening heart
no more words to say
you will find
that the world has changed
forever
the trees are now turning
from green to gold
and the sun is now fading
i wish i could hold you
closer..”
”..Too real is this feeling of make believe
Too real when I feel what my heart can’t conceal
Ooh ooh yes I’m the great pretender
Just laughing and gay like a clown
I seem to be what I’m not (you see)
I’m wearing my heart like a crown
Pretending that you’re still around…”
”..Oh yes I’m the great pretender
Adrift in a world of my own
I play the game but to my real shame
You’ve left me to dream all alone..”
“…Oh yes I’m the great pretender
Pretending I’m doing well
My need is such I pretend too much
I’m lonely but no one can tell..”
”..You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I’m bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me..”
“…You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now, I’m bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me
These wounds won’t seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There’s just too much that time cannot erase…”
“…I am trying
Not to tell you
But I want to
I’m scared of what you’ll say
So I’m hiding what I’m feeling
But I’m tired of
Holding this inside my head
I’ve been spending all my time
Just thinking about ya
I don’t know what to do
I think I’m fallin’ for you….”
“you are a pillar of the hardest stone..
perfect and beautiful and all alone
you’ll never need me
you’ll never need me..
you are a pillar of the hardest stone…”
